Hoop Pursuits Basketball was founded in 2011 by President, CEO, and Head Coach Dusty Pflugner


Coach Pflugner played basketball collegiately at The Virginia Military Institute (NCAA D1) as well as at Lynn University (NCAA D2) from 2005-2009. As a former Walk-on turned scholarship player, Coach Pflugner knows what it takes to get to the next level: Hard work, smart work, and consistent work.

In 2009 Dusty received his bachelors degree, one year later he earned his Masters Degree - both in the field of Sports Management from Lynn University.

“Coach”, as his students and players know him, has trained and played with and against hundreds of Division I athletes, dozens of European Professionals, and multiple NBA players, including: Reggie Williams, Mike Conley, Harold Jamison, Daequan Cook, Michael Beasley, Cedric Simmons, Jared Jeffries, Terrence Kinsey, Renaldo Balkman, Taurean Green, Joey Graham and Steven Graham.

As a result of Coach Pflugner's extensive basketball career, he has developed a unique and specialized coaching style, focusing on the fundamentals of basketball while paying close attention to detail and tailoring each workout to a player’s needs.

​In addition to training players of all levels, Coach Pflugner has been a Head Coach for more than 10 years amassing over a 700 game span at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.

Dusty is currently a PE/ Health Teacher at Piedmont High School in Piedmont, Oklahoma. At PHS Dusty also serves as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach and Head Coach of the Oklahoma Wolfpack 17u Boys Travel Club.
